Due to popular demand, the Ju-Jitsu Center now offers classes for pre-juniors (ages 4 to 6 years)

These new classes are designed specifically for the younger martial artist and will include instruction in traditional Ju-Jitsu and Japanese weapons, all under strict supervision.

Sensei Glimmerveen to undertake 3rd. dan grading in the UK.

At the invitation of Professor Clark (Soke 9th dan), Sensei Glimmerveen will undertake his 3rd. dan grading at the World Ju-Jitsu Federation headquarters in the UK at the end of May. The grading will include 20 multiple combination techniques, the Praying Mantis form, Ho-Jo (tying up techniques), Kama Kata (including practical applications), plus a written piece on the fundamentals, psychological aspects and history of Ju-Jitsu.

A number of students will make the trip to the UK to attend classes at the Liverpool headquarters.

Grading

The next grading (an interim grading) will be held on Saturday March the 13th. 

Next full grading will be on April the 24th.

Congratulations to the 27 who passed their grades in January - well done one and all.

Welcome new members

The Savannah Sports monthly editor, Ed DeVita, enjoyed his visit so much, he has signed up for classes - welcome Ed.

Schedule Changes

Due to the large demand for teen places, Sensei Glimmerveen will introduce a revised class schedule in the new year. Some of the adult classes will have a separate teen section. In addition, the new year schedule will have an extended offering on Fridays to cover weapons. The Saturday morning class will now be a one hour weapons class.
